Jerry's major interests in government are:
- to maintain an orderly and deliberate process of government that reflects the will of the people
- to support our governmental insititutions which protect our freedoms
- to support and respond to our societal needs for an educated citizenry at all levels in our educational system
- to support our youth outside the classroom
- to support our senior citizens, those less fortunate and the physically and mentally challenged
- to promote social justice and combat any injustices which arise
- to protect our environment
- to promote universal health care
- to preserve our agricultural heritage
